The Departed, Little Miss Sunshine and Children of Men are all 7/10 (LMS is kinda 6.5'ish).

Yeah, and copycat Martin Scorsese deserves absolute zero praise for his part in The Departed. Why not just give the Best Director to Andrew Lau and Alan Mak? What a bunch of fart-creams those Oscars are I tell ya'!

I mean, I used to be like that, I've changed my opinion about certain things music and film related simply because of trying to fit -or- not fit a certain group mentality. Without rewatching movies like Fight Club, LOTR, Memento, Donnie Darko -or- listening to music like Nirvana, RHCP, Smashing Pumpkins, Sublime; I decided that these things sucked or weren't as good as before because of what others said about these things. This group mentality thingy had the most effect on me when some total retard would dig something that I also happened to dig, it kinda makes you wanna separate yourself as far as possible away from said retard.

But it's not like that anymore, all that shit happened years ago. I feel comfortable enough with myself to like what *I* like and dislike what *I* dislike without consulting others of their opinion.

So, yeah, I think distancing yourself from the pop-phenomena that Borat has become is betraying yourself.

I think it was more of that he got sick of it .

I guess I worded that wrong because that's not at all what I meant. It was quoted so much and I just got tired of hearing it. It was not that witty of a film to be quoting it every other sentence. I thought it was a one hit wonder and just not very funny the second time around. I'm not conforming at all. I'm perfectly fine with liking the things I like and thinking for myself. Never does anyone at school make my opinion change.
