| You know, to me, comedy is the hardest thing to pull off. The director has to be funny, and true humor is hard to find these days, especially in Hollywood. But we have this New Wave if comedy that's growing right now, and I like where things are headed. I'm glad the "gross-out" comedies are adding brains to the equation, like The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up. Comedies with heart AND balls.
Good stuff. | |

| I agree. That's why comedy has never been a very popular genre for me. You can't forget Superbad. | |

That'll do. With the exception of the inclusion of Garden State and the excluision of Airplane!, that's a great list.

| Why do people hate Garden State so much? | |

Oh, you misunderstand, good sir. I don't hate it at all, if I had a top 250, it might even be on it. I just don't see it's place on ANY top 10 lists. Unless you haven't seen very many movies.

| Even though I liked Garden State, I didn't view it as a comedy. I thought it was more of a drama.
Anyway, comedy is my favourite genre. From Chaplin to Brooks to Parker to Apatow, if a comedy is done well and is funny, I will like it.
